Saudi digital government platforms reach advanced maturity level in 2026 national accessibility index

Saudi Arabia's Digital Government Authority (DGA) has released its 2026 Digital Experience Maturity Index results, reporting that public digital services reached an "Advanced" overall maturity tier with a score of 87.06 percent. The annual benchmarking program evaluated 59 government platforms—expanding from 50 in 2025—across key pillars including user experience, technology, and beneficiary satisfaction.

Crucially, the index's digital inclusion metric achieved a "Competent" rating of 76.98 percent, measuring how effectively government platforms accommodate elderly citizens and users with disabilities.

The Ministry of Interior's Absher platform scored highest overall at 94.38 percent, followed closely by the Ministry of Finance's Etimad platform.

For public sector IT leaders, accessibility strategists, and international digital governance experts, these results demonstrate how continuous benchmarking drives inclusive digital infrastructure. Establishing standardized maturity frameworks ensures public portals remain consistently usable across diverse population segments.
