Clare Libraries has successfully secured a public funding allocation of nearly 90,000 euros to drastically improve regional accessibility, community inclusion, and digital services.

Managed under the national Libraries Capital Programme, the final grant totals 88,516 euros distributed across multiple local branches.

The public institution will utilize this direct capital injection to purchase specialized sensory technologies, including an advanced Cubbie sensory pod for the Shannon branch and immersive sensory projectors for Ennis and Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Additionally, the operational strategy features a portable sensory room alongside major upgrades to local information communication hardware and public broadband capabilities.
