New Assistive Technology Center Opens to Support Independent Living

The Arc Chemung-Schuyler has opened the Golisano Assistive Technology Center in Elmira to increase access to technologies that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The new facility builds on more than a decade of the organization's assistive technology services and is designed to help individuals improve daily living skills, access employment opportunities, and participate more fully in their communities. Supported by philanthropist Tom Golisano, the center reflects a long-term commitment to integrating technology into disability services. Its launch signals continued investment in technology-driven supports that promote greater independence and inclusion.
